Post Card Book Report

Post Card Book Report
To reinforce the letter and address the skills that we learned in class, you will do a
postcard book report this month.

Choose a fiction book that you have not read before. Have your book checked by me, and
I can also check to see if it is part of “Reading Counts”.
After you have read the book, use the Post Card Book Report form that came home in the
Homework Folder, to write to the author.
Use the left side to write your letter and include the following: 1. Tell the name of the book you read. 2. Your favorite part and why. 3. Be sure to ask him or her a question about the book you read or about one of the characters. 4. Remember to use proper form for writing a letter and address. On the right side of the “post card” write the author’s name and address. If you don’t know the
address, look on the title page and use the name of the publishing company and the city
where the book was published. In the space above the postcard draw a picture of a scene from your book that was important to the story. Draw a picture of an object that has to do with your book in the stamp.
